Alert! The Open Book Festival kicks off in Cape Town tomorrow morning. Check out a selection of the most exciting bookish events to hit the Mother City!

For fiction fans, 2014 Sunday Times Fiction Prize winner Claire Robertson will be chatting about her new book, The Magistrate of Gower and Petina Gappah will be chatting about The Book of Memory, the newly released – and long awaited – follow up to her award-winning first book.

There’s also plenty for the non-fiction aficionados, including a fascinating discussion on the Boston bombing and the Breivik massacre, moderated by Jonny Steinberg, and a frank discussion on labour featuring Onkgopotse JJ Tabane and Zwelinzima Vavi.
