This year The Bloody Book Week is being held from 6 to 9 August at venues throughout Johannesburg. Jenny & Co have shared a sneak peek of some of the authors that will be attending and the events that will be held.
Last year British crime fiction writer Peter James had to pull out after a car accident, so he will be attending this year instead and hosting a Bloody Book Week Masterclass along with local crime writers Deon Meyer and Amanda Coetzee. The ongoing Oscar Pistorius murder trial will be dissected by some of the journalists that have been covering it, including Barry Bateman and David O’Sullivan.
Other authors to look forward to include The Griekwastad Murders author Jacques Steenkamp; forensic scientist David Klatzow, who’s just published Justice Denied; To Catch A Cop subject Paul O’Sullivan; and Finders Weepers author Penny Lorimer.
