Taiye Selasi, author of Ghana Must Go, is in the running for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award 2014, valued at £30 000 – the world’s biggest prize for a single short story.
Selasi, of Ghanian and Nigerian parentage, has been longlisted for her story “Driver”, which is set in Ghana and “explores the class division between a driver and his employers”. She’ll be competing with 15 other candidates for the prize, to be announced in April.
Good luck to Selasi!
